Radley College Wins RIBA National Award

Yet another fantastic award for our Radley College Chapel Project. Having scooped three awards in the RIBA South presentations, including ‘Regional Award, ‘Conservation Award’ and ‘Building of the Year’, Radley College Chapel has now picked up a RIBA National Award!

RIBA National Awards are given to buildings across the UK in recognition of their significant contributions to architecture. With National Awards only presented to thirty projects across the country the award really showcases just how unique Radley College Chapel is.

The RIBA Judges said - ‘The chapel extension is a testament to the power of good design and the role that architecture can play in creating inspiring and functional spaces.’

Radley College’s success at the RIBA Awards joins its success at the Brick Awards, where it was awarded Brick’s ‘Supreme Award’ in 2022, and the Oxford Preservation Trust Award where it was presented the ‘New Building Award’ in 2022.

SOLID would like to wish a huge congratulations to architect Purcell and the team behind the build including OG Stonemasonry, Northcot Brick Limited, CampbellReith, Hoare Lea, Ridge and Partners LLP, Beard, HCUK Group, NHBC Building Control Services, Carpenter Oak Ltd, York Glaziers, Attleys Roofing Ltd and Edgars Limited to name a few.

SOLID were appointed as Specialist Stone Façade Engineers on the project, supporting OG Stonemasonry and Beard. The team are very proud to have been involved in such a special project.
