Structural Design Engineer (min. 2 years experience)

Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire or Bourne End, Buckinghamshire

We’re looking for someone who can bring that same focus when they join our young, dynamic team.

You’ll be working in a professional design office and can expect to face a steep but rewarding learning curve. In return, we’ll give you the room to grow, and support will be available from our directors when you need a little help.

Responsibilities

Delivery of a wide range of projects (residential, education, community and health, heritage, university and colleges, and industrial projects) and procurement methods; traditional, design and construct contracts.

Planning and management of your own time to ensure project completion to agreed deadlines.

Key Skills

A belief that you can do it. Be confident and able to tackle new situations/challenges.

The ability to sketch/draw by hand.

Good working knowledge of designing buildings in steel/ concrete/ masonry/ timber to Eurocodes.

Able to prioritise day-to-day project demands as well as completing individual projects.

Confident in talking to clients/ architects/ contractors. Agreeing realistic next steps and managing their expectations.

Requirements
