Since 2023, SOLID have been working closely with the client and site team in Oxfordshire to give a collection of redundant agricultural buildings a new purpose.

The Challenge
Existing cattle sheds, stone outbuildings, grain stores and barns are being transformed into connected light industrial/ workshop spaces. Each building required its own structural solution — from new steel frames within existing stone walls and strengthening works, to partial rebuilds, reinforced ground beams and steel portals.
The SOLID Approach
Working closely with the local builder has allowed us to respond quickly as the project has developed on site, providing practical and cost-effective solutions.
Our work also included a site-wide drainage strategy, using soakaways and the existing pond to manage storm water, alongside a new foul water system.
